| Biras Creek is a whole different world. Accessible only by boat, this rustically elegant hideaway is defined by its back-to-nature setting that incorporates the calm Caribbean Sea, the dramatic Atlantic Ocean and the serene North Sound. It is secreted away on a private 140-acre nature estate on Virgin Gorda, its hillsides yielding panoramic views and its powdery white sands conducive to relaxation, with some windsurfing and sailing thrown in for good measure (instruction included!) Nature lovers can also explore miles of nature trails, whilst adventure seekers can take to the waters and scuba-dive or island-hop aboard motorised dinghies. Tennis courts and a swimming pool, not to mention the ‘Decleor Spa by the Sea’ complete the recreational opportunities. The cottage-style accommodation comes in the form of garden and ocean view suites, each one appointed in an evocative island style and featuring an air-conditioned bedroom, separate living area and private patio. Outdoor garden showers, CD players, tea/coffee makers and fridges are standard features, whilst two Grand Suites offer maximum space and premium views. Its membership of the prestigious hotel company, Relais & Châteaux, is testimony to its high culinary standards, although the aesthetic appeal of its restaurant - built of stone and boasting spectacular views - definitely contributes to the overall dining experience. The barbecue lunches on the beach certainly take some beating though!
