VILLA DESCRIPTION:

Built as a luxurious beach house, this exclusive and very private villa was designed for relaxed and elegant seaside living. Surrounded by lavish tropical foliage, it is a single-story plantation style property with 4,000 square feet of living space including a spacious tiled living room and dining room, a fully remodeled kitchen equipped with stainless steel professional appliances, four bedrooms each with their own private bath and two half baths. Built with exposed joists and rafters, the light and airy main living area is ventilated by an open louver cupola and mahogany shuttered windows and doors that are the trademark of its construction. The interior offers a serene environment of soft tropical hues. Mexican shell stone tiles line the floors, and Burmese and Indonesian antiques mixed with modern Bamboo and Rattan pieces accentuate the eclectic style of the villa. Large windows offer wide sea views across the private terraced swimming pool to a planted lawn that blends into a palm-studded beach and surf-laced shoreline.

Guests may select from and combine any of the following dining options: Those who wish may shop on the mainland and prepare meals themselves. Alternatively, the house manager can arrange daily grocery deliveries. If desired, a part- or full-time cooking service with trained chefs is available. Guests are always welcome to dine at the Jumby Bay Resort's exceptional restaurants at their leisure or at several noteworthy main island restaurants. An all-inclusive meal package for the resort restaurants is also available.

LOCATION:

Jumby Bay is a 300-acre private island two miles north of Antigua, West Indies. Tir Na Nog occupies 3.5 acres along Pasture Beach, a lovely, secluded, white sand beach, just down the coast from the five-star Jumby Bay Resort.

Each of the four private bedrooms is accessed from the Mexican sandstone terrace surrounding the villa. The villa features two master suites facing Pasture Beach with breathtaking views of the azure water and swaying palms. The first master suite has a king-size bed and a private outdoor shower area as well as an indoor, fully tiled master bath. The second master suite has a queen-size bed as well as a private, fully tiled bath. Two inviting guest rooms with two twin beds each and private tiled baths open to tropical gardens surrounded by bougainvillea, vinca and palm trees. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, which in conjunction with the louvered doors and walls enhance the cool breeze generated by the continuous trade wind.

Separating the beach from the villa is the 16 by 32 foot private swimming pool tiled in mosaic blues, and maintained daily by the local island pool service company. Chef and or butler services are available upon request. The home entertainment system is a Bose with surround sound, VCR, DVD and a flat-panel TV in the main living area.
